Frequently asked questions.

What is the NewPath Wellness practice?

  • We are a team of neuromuscular therapists who specialize in the treatment and prevention of injuries. We use various methods, including orthopedic and postural alignment assessment, soft tissue manipulation, and corrective movement. We are highly effective because we get to the root cause of the issue.

  • We work with many different types of injuries and wellness goals.

  • We create personalized treatment plans with you, by listening to you and assessing you each session

  • We meet as a team weekly to discuss our current and in-coming clients, so anyone on the team can provide care quickly and effectively. We strive to have openings to begin your treatment as quickly as possible, which may mean you are working with several therapists over your course of treatment.

  • Owner Kate Fox, CMT, CLMA, CSPA, advises on all of the cases in the office.

Do you accept medical insurance, Flex Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) payments?

  • We do not take medical insurance and are not in any healthcare network. We are a “cash” or “out of pocket” practice. Payment by the client is due at the time of treatment

  • We can accept Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flex Spending Account (FSA) debit card payments.

  • If needed, we will provide you with Superbills that may be used for reimbursement for qualifying programs. Please contact your providers to verify the requirements for this.

What forms of payment do you take?

  • Zelle, Venmo, Credit Card, Debit Card, Cash, Check, FSA/HSA debit cards

Do you work with other Doctors and Practitioners?

  • Absolutely! We are often referred clients from medical doctors, physical therapists, personal trainers, yoga and pilates instructors, and more. We will make your treatment notes available to them, and also integrate their notes and observations into your care.

How is your approach different from Massage Therapy?

  • Like massage therapists, we utilize hands-on manipulation of the muscles and connective tissues. Our advanced education in functional anatomy, physiology,  pathology, and kinesiology allows us to specialize in assessing and treating soft tissue imbalances. We are soft tissue specialists, and have a far deeper understanding of how imbalances manifest and can be treated  in the muscles, joints, connective tissue and nerves than most medical professionals, trainers, movement instructors, and massage therapists.

How is your approach different from Physical Therapy?

  • We take a whole person approach. Many times your area of pain or injury is a result of compensation or weakness in other parts of your body. We are able to not only help identify those root causes, but work with multiple areas of the body in the same course of treatment

  • We do not abide by protocols or prescriptions. Your care is completely individualized and personalized to your needs and goals, in conversation with you.

Can I speak to someone before I book an appointment?

  • Yes! You can access our online booking page and request a free 15-minute welcome call prior to booking your first appointment. You can also call, text, or email us with your questions. We will get back to you within 24 hours.

Do I need to book an appointment or can I just walk-in?

  • We do not take walk-in appointments at our clinic. You must schedule an appointment using our online booking system or by contacting our office directly.

  • We strive to have openings to begin your treatment as quickly as possible.

Where can I park?

  • We do not have reserved parking spaces in the building. Free city lots and street parking surround the building.

What should I wear to my appointment?

  • Wear comfortable clothing that is close fitting and easy to move in. Athletic wear is best for assessment and receiving bodywork over the clothes.

Do I need to send over my medical records or x-rays?

  • Yes, we prefer to receive your medical records, imaging reports, referrals, prior to your first treatment. Once you book your appointment, we will provide you with our Policies and Procedures sheet which outline how to do this.
